The results are in. My remix of deadmau5 feat. Stevie Appleton – “Science” finished #197 out of 904 entries in the official SKIO Remix Contest. I’m pretty happy with that. Especially with some of the individual rankings: #7 in Germany #49 in Progressive House #10 in Arrangement within Progressive House #11 in Composition within Progressive House Most of all, I had a lot of fun with the contest and learned quite a bit while working on the remix. So I’m thinking about turning this into a small project: “Win One.” The idea is pretty simple: enter remix contests whenever I find one that fits and set myself a few targets along the way. First Top 100, then Top 50, Top 10 – and maybe eventually win one. Let’s see how far I can get.
